Oortia de Rossi and Ellen show home, alk show star Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have put their Beverly Hills mansion on the market. DeGeneres took the media through a tour through the mansion recently.The 53-year-old spoke to Architectural Digest about the mansion. She admit that she has lost count of the number of houses that she has bought over the years. She revealed that she buys a house every year since she met Portia. The Beverly Hills mansion served as the venue for the wedding between Portia and DeGeneres in 2008. They are asking for $49 million for the property which sits on a 2.7 acre land. The house was originally purchased in 2007 and it has cost the pair about $48 million so far, reports say.

Speaking about the building, DeGeneres said that, “We’d heard how beautiful it was and then we came over to watch American Idol. We pulled into the driveway and we just knew before we even walked through the gate.”

The single storey house has meditation room and a private theater room. Actor Laurence Harvey was the original owner of the property.
