Harry Styles spotted Jillian Harris, who is 14 years old than him, at a restaurant in Los Angeles during One Direction's recent stay in the States.
The 18-year-old approached her but the 32-year-old reality star laughed off his request, reportedly saying: "I am way too old for you."
Jillian said: "He asked for my phone number. He looked cute and adorable. But he was also very young looking. I am sorry but I could never date an 18-year-old. I don't think that's even legal in the US, is it?"
Harry Styles must not have thought age was any barrier, as he dated 32-year-old Caroline Flack.
He is also reported to have got close to 24-year-old photographer Sarah-Louise Colivet in NYC.
Jillian Harris, who found fame on reality show The Bachelorette, was dining in the W Hotel's restaurant. She revealed she "didn't even know who Harry was" and "had never heard of One Direction" but her friend pointed Harry Styles out.
When they went to leave, she claims Harry Styles came over and said he wanted to take her for dinner. When she just laughed, he added to the Canadian-born TV star he was playing a concert in Canada later this year and asked for her phone number.
Her refusal didn't knock Harry Styles' confidence: "He was very sure of himself actually."
Jillian Harris declined because she didn't think it would be "appropriate".
