Selena Gomez played a starring role on the red carpet last night at the Los Angeles premiere of The Thing.
The 19-year-old singer and actress doesn't appear in the movie - but was the main attraction at the event in a pair of impossibly short black glittery hot pants.
Gomez, who dates fellow teen star Justin Bieber, teamed her look with a floaty white top and strappy heels for her night in the spotlight.

The Thing is a prequel to the 1982 horror movie of the same name and is released in theatres on Friday.
Also at the event was the movie's female lead Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who arrived in a stunning floor-length red dress and a shock of red lipstick.
Her co-star Kim Bubbs opted for a demure black ensemble while other celebs in attendance included Eli Roth and Marilyn Manson.

The Thing is directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr., and written by Eric Heisserer and Ronald D. Moore.
It was decided to give the film the same name, despite it being a prequel to the 1982 film.
The story follow a team of rival scientists who discover an alien buried in deep ice in Antarctica.

But they realise too late that it is still alive and kicking.
Last night's event was held at Universal Studios in Hollywood.
The movie opens in cinemas in the U.S. on Friday and on December 2 in the UK.
